“Endless Love” roughly measures: 72”x48”. If you followed along on my instagram, I did a full 3 part series showing creative steps in the process of this painting. In the middle of creating, I had to put my pet of 14 years to sleep, which deeply affected me. Grief is an excruciating pain that just pulls so hard at your heart. I have always found painting to help lift me up when I’m hurting. I used bright, cheerful colors in this piece and bold mark making. Some marks created by natural sources, like rose petals plucked from my backyard. Shapes inspired by sea grape leaves that drape over my fence. And, Cabernet from the cork of a bottle of 2017 Chateau Montelena. If wanted, I saved the cork and can include it in this piece.
